Account Manager Summary of Position: To sell energy products and services to active and prospective industrial/commercial accounts in the Central and Eastern Pennsylvania market.   Responsibilities: Service active accounts Responsible for maintaining all active accounts:    Maintenance of account    Development of account    Increase profitability through leveraging customer relationships. Develop new business    Prospecting and solicitation of new potential accounts in accordance with company guidelines.  Aggressively close new sales and maintain relationships at the highest level.    Assist in determining new markets and update existing market information by organizing and supervising market surveys.    Assist in promotional activities Planning and time organization    Plan, direct coordinate and manage entire sales area with direction from manager    Organize time and territory as required by manager to maintain maximum efficiency Administrative requirements    Preparation of required paperwork with supervision as required:  account input documents (set up and cancel accounts), customer account adjustments, and allowances subject to adjustment, expense reports, monthly reports, sales reports, memos, customer surveys, customer correspondence and special projects as required Market Awareness    Evaluate market conditions and provide accurate information to management    Competitive logistical information    Changes in competitors’ marketing strategies    Utilizing daily feedback from sales management, communicate changing market conditions to active and prospective accounts Requirements 1-3 years of energy industry experience (preferably sales) General knowledge of the company’s objectives and policies General knowledge of AHC sales procedures and systems Technical knowledge of fuel oil, electric and natural gas properties, composition, specifications and how they relate to customer utilization Ability to take independent or self-directed action Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to use logical, systematic, sequential approach to problem solving Strong motivation to succeed.  Focus on results Position holder will reside in the Central/Eastern Pennsylvania area Ability to contribute ideas,  opinions, skills, and resources toward the achievement of a common team goal Proficient with Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, etc.) Bachelors degree in sales, marketing or engineering (MBA preferred)
